Criminal Defense. Attorney Stuart Vess, represents individuals who have been charged with misdemeanors or felonies in state or federal court in Arkansas. He will aggressively protect your constitutional rights at any stage of criminal prosecution, whether you are merely under investigation or want to appeal a conviction.
A former state legislator and member of the Arkansas House Judiciary Committee, attorney Vess handles the defense of all types of criminal charges, from drunk driving and drug crimes to homicide. Also a former member of the legislature's prison subcommittee, he has handled hundreds of parole hearings and has a long record of success in pardon and parole proceedings.
Estate Planning, Probate and Trusts. Attorney Larry Carpenter, works with clients who need counsel with estate planning or probate matters. He will help you understand the different strategies available to ensure the orderly distribution of your estate upon death and will prepare and execute the necessary documents to put your plan in place, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and health care proxies.
Attorney Carpenter also handles the probate process, working with executors, administrators, personal representatives and heirs to efficiently settle the estate of a loved one. He will also help you plan for the preservation of assets in the event you require nursing home or other long-term care.
In addition, as a retired member of the United States Air Force, he helps members of the military in matters including pension division, SBP, dual compensation, long range visitation issues and medical coverage.
Family Law. Attorney Lisa Ables handles family law matters. In this practice, she handles all matters related to contested or uncontested divorce proceedings, including custody and visitation, child support, alimony or spousal support, division of marital property, and requests for modification of existing divorce decrees. She also handles paternity actions, grandparents' rights, guardianships and stepparent adoptions.
